FAQs

Will I receive a hard copy of the cross stitch pattern?

We currently only sell digital cross stitch patterns, so no physical products will be shipped to you. Purchased patterns will be available as PDF downloads via email (using a link) as soon as payment is processed. Please contact us if you have any problems with your order.

What brand of threads should I use for these patterns?

All our patterns are charted for both DMC and Anchor threads, but you are free to use any brand that you prefer.

What type of fabric is best for cross stitching?

Since cross stitching is done on a grid system, the preferred fabrics of many cross stitchers are Aida, Evenweave, or linen, as they have a consistent, regular weave that is not too tight. The different sizes are measured by “count” or “ct,” meaning that 14ct Aida has 14 squares per inch, while 16ct has 16 squares per inch, and so on. The higher the count, the smaller the squares will be. All the sample pieces on this site were stitched in 18ct Aida, and all the patterns include measurements of the finished pieces on 14ct, 16ct, and 18ct fabric.

Are these patterns compatible with Pattern Keeper?

Our patterns are sent as PDF files, which is a format used by Pattern Keeper. However, we are not a Supported Designer on Pattern Keeper, our patterns were not created with their specifications in mind, and we have not tested them on Pattern Keeper. Also, many of our patterns include backstitch, which is not currently supported on Pattern Keeper. We do plan on making our patterns compatible with them in the future.

Can I share or resell these patterns?

All cross stitch patterns by Stitchable History are for personal use only. They may not be reproduced, edited, resold, published, or transmitted in any manner without express permission.

Can I return or cancel my order?
